The sense of color, space and light are what this architect is know for, the yellow staircase leading up to the roof from his living quarters and the pink wall in the courtyard on the roof are bold and fearless.

I loved the story about the dining room table that was pushed all the way to the wall so that Barragan can always be at the head of the table at his dinner parties.

At another one of his houses, nearby, walking through a yellow lit hallway, I can’t help but think about the artist James Turrell.
